The Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association (SCDBA) is celebrating the success of its Annual Grey Creek Grind Fun Ride and fundraiser which took place on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Sixty-two dirt bikers and numerous event volunteers started the day with coffee, donuts and cookies before descending upon the trails in the Grey Creek area in Tuwanek to head up to Mount Richardson, soak in the view, then ride back down.

After returning to the event staging area, riders were treated to barbecue and everyone received a door prize. As well, folks had the opportunity to enter a 50/50 draw, purchase SCDBA hats and T-shirts as well as raffle tickets for one of 10 prizes generously donated by local businesses.

“We are so impressed with the community spirit and generous support of the Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association. Without it, the annual Grey Creek Grind Fun Ride wouldn’t be the success that it is,” says Tony Watts, president of SCDBA. “This is the biggest event SCDBA holds each year and also serves as an in-person opportunity to become a member.”

SCDBA would like to thank the ATV volunteers who helped “sweep” the event route, the volunteers who helped pre, during and post event, as well as local businesses for their sponsorship, including our platinum sponsor KMT Contracting.
