Mayor Silas White flipped the switch and the Sea of Lights illuminated Gibsons Marina Nov. 29. The fundraiser for Salvation Army Sunshine Coast invites those enjoying the lights to drop off a non-perishable food item, unwrapped new toy or make a donation to the Kettle Campaign, on site daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Christmas Eve. As of the lighting, $6,000 had already been raised from businesses sponsoring Christmas trees.
