A fundraiser was held for Halfmoon Bay Child Care Centre on May 27 in West Sechelt. Attending were moms and local women who enjoyed a variety of themed gin-based cocktails. The event raised more than $1,000 for the centre. The event was titled “Drumshambo by the Sea” and organized by board member Sarah Dhillon. Sponsors included The Farm, Nougatine, Plethora Fine Foods, Rain Florist, Lost Things Distillery and Bruinwood Distillery.
