Langdale Elementary School student Seth Lamoureux recently participated in an Aquamarathon fundraiser for his year-end Grade 7 graduation camping trip. Seth was asking for sponsors – gathering 25 cent and $1 per pool length pledges. Well, Rishi Flower at Gibsons Pet Food and Supplies pledged $25 per length. Seth’s mother, Kallie Lamoureux, contacted Flower to make sure he wanted to pledge that amount given that Seth may do 10 to 12 lengths, Flower stood by his pledge. Well, Seth pushed his limits and did 28 lengths. Kallie again reached out and made clear that there was no expectation of Flower giving them $700. But, again, he stood by his pledge. “We were just blown away. He really went above and beyond and I just want to share with the community what a generous, amazing, kind human being this man is,” said Kallie.
