PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT: BC Ferries is hosting an interactive community workshop on Wednesday, June 3, 2024 at ARC Community Event Centre beginning at 6 pm.

BC Ferries is once again engaging with coastal communities by hosting in-person community workshops, and qathet is next on the radar. On Wednesday, July 3 BC Ferries will host an interactive community workshop at ARC Community Event Centre from 6 to 7:30 pm. In September 2023, BC Ferries took a hiatus from in-person meetings, moving them online after what the ferry operator described as threatening and abusive behavior that took place at a public meeting on the southern Sunshine Coast.

According to BC Ferries Discover your community page: "Our teams will be visiting the communities we serve to provide information and updates on topics that are important to each individual community. These sessions are a chance to hear directly from those who live, work and play in the communities we serve and for community members to connect with us face-to-face."

The evening will begin with a 20-minute presentation, followed by reviewing and prioritizing feedback at interactive stations set up around the room at ARC.

There will be an online engagement component hosted on their web page for those who are not able to attend.
