Powell River RCMP initiated an investigation in regard to child pornography possession on March 10.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed on March 15 for a residence on Emmonds Road. A 45-year-old male subject was arrested and later released on numerous conditions.
The Powell River resident is now facing charges of possession of child pornography as well as firearm offences, according to an RCMP media release. He will appear in Powell River Provincial Court on August 15, 2023, to answer to the allegations.
