Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of March 24!

  • Big kisses and grateful thanks to the group of young people with shovels, and two boys in particular, who, after the latest snowfall, went around my neighbourhood (upper King Road, Elphinstone) and cleared our driveways.  They weren’t expecting payment but were just going around offering the help where needed.
  • Kisses for the lady who sat behind me on the express bus from Gibsons to Sechelt on the snowy Saturday (Feb. 25) and gave me some money so I could pay for the bus trip. I appreciate your generosity!
  • Kisses to the wonderful District of Sechelt staff who worked so diligently to keep our roads and streets cleared and safe during those snowy days… compared to other areas on the Coast, you rocked.
  • Kisses to St Mary’s congregation for again stepping up in a most Christian way to support our fellow Coasters who find themselves without a home.
  • Kisses to the DoS staff who are on the road repairs required due to the damage caused by the extreme weather.
  • Kicks to the dog owners who thought burying their dog droppings with snow was an  adequate solution.
  • Kisses to the dog owners who pick up their dog droppings regularly and that of others after the snow melts.

  • Big hugs and kisses to the kind women at BC Liquor store in Tsain-Ko Mall who let me know they had my wallet. And, even bigger kisses to the honest individual who found it in the parking lot and turned it in.
  • Kisses to two guys from Takumi Pro Hardscape who stopped and helped us clear snow from our driveway on Gower Point Road.
  • Kisses to the amazing U18A coaches (Trevor, Tyler, Mark and James) who spent many many hours a week on the ice and on the bench with the kids, teaching them, engaging them and motivating them.  And kisses to the team volunteers who helped make it a great season as well!
  • Kisses to Ken who heard me trying to get a taxi and immediately said ‘I will take you.’ Thanks so much. It was important I get to my destination.
