Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of November 1!
- Boat load of kisses to my neighbours, Kiki, Jesse & Olivia who came to assist in calming myself and helping to transport a very frightened and frantic 80 lb. lab late in the evening. I am very blessed to have neighbours like yourselves.
- Kicks to the lady driving the Black SUV at Sunnycrest Mall at 3 p.m. Thursday. That was me pounding on your vehicle as I was in the middle of the crosswalk as you drove by. Pay attention, that’s why they mark cross walks for the people.
- Thank you to the good Samaritan on Wednesday Oct. 9 for finding my wallet and returning it to my front door as I searched the places I visited earlier in the day. Your kindness is very much appreciated. Thank you ever so much.
- Kisses of gratitude goes out to Roland’s Brake and Muffler. As always excellent work and service. Along with unbelievable compassion, empathy and kindness. Faith in humanity restored!
- Kisses to engaged citizens who donate time and money to the election campaign that fits their values. You know that elections cost money and citizenship goes beyond the ballot box.
- Kicks to those who vote but don’t pay attention to the issues at stake. The consequences could be...no safe by-pass highway, no secure water supply, no extra ferries, no real plan to keep the public safe from crime.
- Hugs to the guys at the Sechelt Landfill. They are always so kind, cheerful and helpful, along with the guys at Salish Soils too. Your attitude is so much appreciated.
- Kicks to the women not far up BNK walking around with rifles shooting cans.” Don't buy it given all the camo. Regardless, too many people on the trails you've been seen on. Police will be contacted next time.
- A house full of kisses to Ed Hill for writing such a great article about the upcoming curling season.
- Kisses to the woman in the blue car who actually stopped so that I could cross on Ocean at Mermaid. This is actually one of the rules of the road but most people either do not know this or refuse to obey.
- Kisses to Caroline, late night bus driver for BC Transit, who takes excellent care of her customers and makes sure everyone gets home safely. Much appreciated!
- Kisses and massive hugs to all the wonderful, efficient volunteers at the free Thanksgiving feast at the Seniors Centre. Food was plentiful and yummy, companionship was lovely on this day which can be hard for some people. Very grateful senior!
