Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of November 15!

  • 30 years of kisses to Bernice as she retires from the Gibsons LifeLabs. You made every visit great, whether having bloodwork, ECG, etc. done.
  • Kisses to Wilma at the  Gibsons Legion #109 for providing delicious soup and sandwiches for the Election BC team who worked on a rainy Oct. 19.
  • Endless Kisses to the Home Care Nurses for their compassion and dedication to my husband D’Arcy. Your kindness strengthened and uplifted his spirits even in the end.
  • A mail sack full of kisses to the person who mailed a letter I inadvertently dropped on my way to the Post Office in Gibsons Landing. And a big hug to the PO employee who searched and found the letter safe and on its way in the mailbox. A big load off my mind, and I thank you both very much.
  • Kicks to the business who advertise in the weekly flyer and not supporting our community newspaper.  I have taken note and shopping accordingly.
  • Handful of kisses to the doctors and nursing staff at Sechelt Hospital. Admitted in the ER at 1am, then later transferred to room 221. The care and attention I received was incredible. Thank you Dr Baxter, Marie, Jessica and Sara. Just brilliant.
  • A huge thank you to London Drugs staffers Marianne and Jeff for helping a senior with ipaditis.
  • Kicks to the adult males who loudly booed the visiting team every time they scored a goal against the Coastal Tsunami at the junior hockey game on Saturday, Oct. 26. You set a very poor example for the young children at this family event as well as embarrassing the home team and making yourselves look like poor losers.
  • Kicks to those who inadvertently or knowingly voted for 4 more years of the same..zero results. No bypass highway, no more ferries and no reliable water system.
  • Kisses to all 30 volunteers that came out Oct 25 & 26th for fin clipping (total 18,420) at Chapman Creek & additional kisses to the Bakery which provided coffee & goodies on 26th to sustain us — thank you - SCSES
  • Kicks to the inconsiderate people who go around folks waiting patiently in line for fuel to come into the pumps from the wrong way.
  • Screams and kisses to the Elphi grad class for a scary haunted house and fun carnival. You do your school proud. Our future is in good hands.
