Kisses and Kicks: Kicks to crustacean who left bucket of seafood remains behind

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kisses and kicks for the week of MONTH DAY!

  • Kisses to Lianna Corsini, Gibsons’ new Community Paramedic, who is working tirelessly to connect with all of the key service providers in our area to orient them to her new role (BC Emergency Health Services: Stn 268).  Lianna will be an invaluable asset in our community helping those who are vulnerable and facing health challenges.  Welcome Lianna!
  • Shopping carts filled with kisses to whoever found the bag I left in a cart at Sunnycrest Mall. Heartfelt thanks for bringing it to London Drugs, and to the customer service staff for notifying me. The bag contained info that would have been impossible to replace. You are all my heroes!
  • Kicks to those who vote for someone based on their looks and how they pitch their message not on the content. The gullible and naive are doing the country a favor by not voting.
  • Big thanks to Autumn of Telus, in Trail Bay Mall, for your herculean effort to rectify my email account. Was sincerely appreciated
  • Kicks, to people that stand too close to you in public places. If I can smell your breath you’re too close. FYI  Smokers and alcoholics minimum 2 metres.
  • Tool boxes full of kisses to Gibsons Home Hardware’s Dave Lamb - for years of giving us very generous discounts for the boxes and the tools to fill them that we in turn donate to the SCCS for their transition homes for women. –– Canadian Federation of University Women SC
  • Kisses to everyone who wants to support and preserve our natural wildlife. Kisses to those who mistakenly put out bird seed and got a black bear. Same to those who, well intentionally fed a deer, which had to be euthanized due to incompatibility with the feed given. However...our wildlife doesn’t need “people food.” It needs habitat, its own food, and corridors to travel. The Sunshine Coast is not a “petting zoo!”
  • Big kisses to the Loan Cupboard Gang at the hospital run by the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary. I recently had hip replacement surgery and they supplied me with all of the home equipment that I required to help me with my recovery. They are knowledgeable, kind and super organized.
  • Kicks to the walking crustacean that left behind a bucket of seafood remains and stunk up my house.
  • Thank you Sechelt hospital crew: Vero, Sarah, Pam, Lisa, Eva, Margaret, Dr. John, Dr. Botha and Dr. Menenzes. You people are fantastic.

Email your Kisses and Kicks to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 1 p.m. every Tuesday for a given week.

Coast Reporter will run kisses and kicks entries as space permits on a first-received, first-published basis.

Submissions must be accompanied by a name and phone number for confirmation by the editor. Names will not be printed in the column unless requested by the writer, for kisses only.

A kick is intended to be an anonymous critique between private parties and may in no way publicly identify an individual, group or business directly or indirectly.

Submissions must be no longer than 30 words. If your thanks or critique is longer, consider an ad in our classified section. The editor reserves the right to edit or refuse to run any submission.
