Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of October 25!

  • Kicks to whoever walked off with the keepsake tablecloth from a memorial in a month where the owner lost her father and then husband. Please bring it back to the church.
  • Kisses to all the crew on the East Porpoise Bay Road construction project. I drive through many times a day and have always been impressed.Everyone is working hard at all times and the flaggers have done a great job of keeping traffic flowing. Even when it seems like a long wait it is never more than a few minutes. Kudos to all of you!
  • Kicks to the people walking around on public very well used trails with firearms. Not buying the “shooting cans” excuse when you’re in full camo. Dogs, walkers, bikes, kids are all over the trail we saw you on.
  • Many thanks to two teams of paramedics for taking me to the hospital and returning me home safely on Sunday. Thanks also to Dr. Jenifer Baxter and her team for their assistance. This 95 year old is most appreciative!
  • Thanks to the Coquitlam crew on a trip from Nanaimo to Langdale on Oct. 3.  Special thanks to MK Wallace, Chief Steward, who checked docking times and called me back to report that the ship would be making an ‘L’ run so I could to stay aboard.
  • Kicks to me for cutting off the driver by the hospital. I apologize for my poor judgement.
  • Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Simon Reznick and Medical Student, Margo Schmidt, along with the entire team of nurses and administrators for their wonderful care in emergency. On a busy Wednesday, we were well looked after and were deeply impressed with the high spirits as comfort and attention were extended to us. Bob + Cheryl Bond
  • Huge kisses shoutout to the two ambulances ladies who got me to the Sechelt hospital and all the doctors and nurses who took care of me there and then all the doctors and nurses at the Lions Gate Hospital who took it from there. I am so glad to have such great hospitals in my area to take excellent care of me.
  • Kisses to Debbie on the 2:25 ferry back to Roberts Creek who went above her job description and helped me to the bathroom waited outside the stall then helped me was my hands and then escorted me back to my husband, you will never be forgotten.
  • Kisses to the two ladies who helped me in the dark on Oct. 3 so I could safely get home.
