Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of January 19!
- Kicks to the owner of the cat in West Sechelt who wanders into our gardens, makes messes in flower beds and frightens away all of the birds.
- Kisses to the kind gentleman who randomly presented me with a bouquet of flowers at Sunnycrest Mall just prior to Christmas! Lovely gesture was very much appreciated! Thank you!
- Many huge kisses to Carmen, Sandy and all the staff at the Village Restaurant. 25 of us descended on the restaurant on Jan. 8 – they opened especially for us – for our postponed Christmas lunch. We were fed quickly, the food was excellent as usual and the service second to none!
- Stars to Martine and Taylor (ambulance crew), all the RNs and ER staff working on Dec. 27 at the Sechelt Hospital. Despite the department being very busy, I was treated in a caring timely manner.
- Kisses and hugs to Geoff, his wife and Ann Doyle for all their help when my car broke down at Gospel Rock, the worst part of Gower Point Road. They directed traffic, contacted Walts Towing and were just so kind. Thank You!
- Huge thanks to the WoundCare Dept Nurses and receptionists for their TLC for months of battling my superbug! Without your cheerful, professional help I could have died.
- A big thank you to Micheal from AH Plumbing for being so patient, kind and smart! He got my fireplace working better than it was before – excellent work ethic and a very kind man.
- Grateful kisses to Michelle at Raven’s Cry Theatre for her help when I lost my wallet…she went above and beyond, calling me, reassuring me and then finding it!
- Kisses and tail wags to the volunteers who showed up to search for our missing puppy. Over 70 volunteers and their canine companions braved the cold weather on Saturday and Sunday to track the 11-week old puppy. Rosie is home safe and sound because of you. Awed and overwhelmed by the community support. Special thanks to the SPCA - Sunshine Coast Branch and Search and Rescue dogs Echo and Zulu.
- Buckets full of Kisses to Dave the owner of Home Hardware in Gibsons for your generous donation of three large buckets, which allowed us to store water from freezing during the cold snap. Our senior horses appreciated your kindness.
