Kisses and Kicks: August 11 edition

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of August 11!

  • Kicks with a steel toed boot to all the people taking a leisurely stroll through the Sechelt Farmers Market with their dogs in tow on the scorching hot pavement. Leave them at home!
  • A wheelbarrow full of hugs to Dan from WW Upholstery for the much-needed repairs on a rotten deck.
  • Bundles of hugs for everyone who assisted me: The bus driver who backed up, parked his bus then walked down the hill to help. The young man in the white truck. The staff at Clayton’s, the lady from Azur Clothing and Eva, my patient friend.
  • A shed full of kisses to Doug at Waste Management for once again coming to the aid of the Hospital Thrift Store.
  • Kisses to our neighbour Dave for his kindness in bringing our garbage bins up the long steep driveway. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. J & M
  • Kisses to Carlin from the Sechelt Aquatic Centre for going the extra step to reunite me with my bank card! I love how this Coast looks after each other.
  • Kicks those who forbid a small, fully certified and well-behaved therapy dog from riding in a shopping cart.
  • Kiss to Sue Hoy at Gibsons IGA.Your kindness will not be for gotten. A very grateful customer.
  • Tons and tons of kiss to ALL the staff at Shorncliffe for the wonderful care of my dad for the past 13 years. A grateful daughter
  • Huge Auxiliary kisses (belated but much appreciated) to Sheri our great bus driver in the Canada Day Parade for her excellent driving of Totem & Shorncliffe residents. They always enjoy waving to the crowds and having a pub lunch afterward.
  • A province full of kisses and more to the ER teams at Sechelt Hospital. They work in intolerable conditions and yet they continue to be their very best. I am in awe and am grateful for the level of their care.
  • Kicks to the person or people who removed my son’s prayer flags at his site and broke his plexiglass on his picture. Please let him RIP. This is a ongoing issue. Upset Mother.
  • Kicks to the female cashier who was so rude to me on seniors day.
