Hazy skies could persist in the Okanagan Valley and across much of the Southeastern Interior over the next couple of days.
B.C. issued an updated smoky skies bulletin Sunday morning, warning of the possibility of smoke across all of the southeastern Interior over the next 24-48 hours.
“Cooler overnight temperatures and inflow winds have created favourable conditions for the propagation of smoke along BC interior valleys,” the bulletin states.
Sunday's updated bulletin comes after Saturday's smoky skies bulletin was issued just for the Okanagan.
The Penticton area saw the worst of the smoke Saturday, as two wildfires are burning west of the city.
Most of the B.C. Interior has been impacted by smoke for a number of weeks this summer, as hundreds of fires have burned across the province.
