Belongings of Jordan Naterer, the Vancouver man missing in Manning Provincial Park since October 10, 2020, have been found.

This weekend, on July 4, volunteers found items believed to be those of the missing 25-year-old.

The belongings "were located by a volunteer searcher in a remote, limited access area," state Princeton RCMP in a press release. "An RCMP helicopter, along with Princeton Search and Rescue, have all been deployed to the area to continue the search."

Naterer went missing on his way to a family gathering. While his belongings have been found, he hasn't.

Search teams spent days scouring areas of the park last fall but while they found his car quickly, at a trailhead, they weren't able to locate Naterer. They did find some evidence of him a few days into the search. Search efforts, involving police, volunteers, search and rescue teams and more, last fall didn't turn up anything.

In April, 2021, his mother spoke to media, suggesting her son might still be alive.

"We do believe he is alive out there," Josie Naterer said, adding that he was well-prepared, well-equipped and knowledgeable about the backwoods.

She explained she hoped he'd found a cabin or fire tower to shelter in over the winter.
