More weather warnings on B.C. highways Monday morning.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt and the Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.

Environment Canada is calling for the potential for flurries over the high elevation mountain passes.

Snow levels continue to hover near the Coquihalla Summit today. Generally light flurries are expected along the high elevation sections of the route. Bouts of heavier flurries are possible but should be brief and localized.

Similiar driving conditions are expected on the Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.

Generally light flurries are expected along the highest elevation sections of the highway route including Rogers Pass beginning this afternoon and continuing into Tuesday. Bouts of heavier flurries are possible but will be brief and localized. During this period, cool and unsettled conditions will keep snow levels near these high elevation sections.

A snowfall warning is also in effect for Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, with long periods of snow expected with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm possible.

Heavy snow is expected to continue over the Kootenay Pass. A disturbance moving across the interior will bring precipitation to the region.

Kootenay Pass has received more than 20 cm of snow since Sunday and an additional 5 cm is expected today, however snow over Paulson Summit is expected to be generally light.
