Watch the sparks fly and the thunder roar when Holy Crap, appears back on CBC’s Dragons’ Den Second Chance special on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
“We’re thrilled to be back in the Den,” said Corin Mullins, CEO and Ernst and Young Award winner. “It has been five years since we first appeared on Dragons’ Den. With Holy Crap now being sold on U.S. Amazon and soon internationally, we felt we needed to attract major league production and marketing expertise and the Den was our first stop.”
Co-founder Brian Mullins added: “We know the cereal works everywhere after being sent to the Inter-national Space Station on Expedition 35 with Commander Hatfield. With sales in the EU and Africa, Corin and I felt that we needed to give the Dragons and us a second chance opportunity to take this success story to the next stage of growth.”
The Mullins became celebrities when they made a deal with the Dragons on the show in 2010. Although the deal with Boston Pizza billionaire Jim Treliving was never officially signed, the publicity from the show was enough to push the Mullins’ business into the fast lane.
“We did $1.5 million alone off PayPal online after the show,” Brian said at the time.
Holy Crap Organic was born in 2009 with plant-based ingredients that are safe for people with food allergies. The nutrient dense cereal is certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, high in fibre, protein, and Omegas-3s. It is sold in over 2,500 stores, online and on U.S. Amazon.
