Imagine pairing your tuna tataki with a refreshing glass of B.C. wine or a hand-crafted cocktail, all while taking in the incredible views of the surrounding sea and nature.

At Ocean Club Café, whether you come for lunch, dinner or happy hour, every table offers a stunning panoramic view of Vancouver Island. Locals and visitors can enjoy strolling along the boulevard walkway to this oceanfront restaurant.

Launched in Summer 2023, the former Grove Front Gallery has now been transformed into a stylish restaurant with contemporary decor. Ocean Club Café is situated at 110-5665 Teredo Street between Watermark’s two low-rise condominiums.

"We repurposed some of the walnut wood and made a beautiful bar out of it," says Walter Kohli, co-owner of Ocean Club Café alongside wife Yester Mani. "It's a beautiful showpiece."

This downtown Sechelt restaurant can seat 50 people, including the spectacular patio, and is just as well-suited to date night as it is the perfect spot to celebrate special occasions. Enjoy post-work cocktails, or a casual bite with friends and family, from Monday to Saturday.

The name of Ocean Club Café, inspired by The Ocean Club from the James Bond film, Casino Royale, plays with a vibe that's part cool sophistication and part relaxed charm.

"It's upscale without being intimidating or pretentious. It's very welcoming, with friendly and personable service, and an incredible view," says Kohli.

Exciting new menus, handcrafted cocktails

West Coast cuisine with global influences are prepared in an open concept kitchen, by a creative team of talented chefs.

With a commitment to sustainability, they source as many fresh ingredients as possible to support B.C. farmers and fishermen. The menu plays up the oceanfront locale, with seafood options (Ocean Wise) for lunch and dinner. Offerings include garlic prawns, gluten-free shrimp and scallop cakes, and mussels in white wine, plus dinner entrees like Salmon en Papillote (oven-steamed in parchment paper) and seafood linguine. Meals are finished with a delicious homemade dessert–think apple strudel with caramel glaze–and with a specialty coffee.

In the warmer months, diners can watch the sun go down while sipping on a hand-crafted cocktail or Aperol Spritz aperitif. By summer 2024, Ocean Club Café plans to add an Oyster Bar to the patio, with entertainment from local live music performers.
